Odein Karibi-Whyte

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER | GLOBAL SPEAKER

Odein Karibi-Whyte is the Community Engagement Manager at Dream Opportunity. He designs experiences and programs for the organization’s various communities virtually and in person, building opportunities for corporate volunteers, students, and the internal team.

From Student to Staff

His journey with Dream Opportunity began in 2021 as a freshman at Morehouse College. Through the Talent Pipeline Program, he met founder Joshua Pierce, trained through interview prep and resume reviews, and joined professional development sessions with partners like AT&T, Verizon, and Paramount. That preparation paid off when he interviewed for and landed an internship at Peloton.

Having experienced the impact firsthand, Odein wanted to pay it forward. He joined Dream Opportunity as a Global Speaker to help other students step into the same opportunities he once received.

Speaking & Global Growth

While still in college, Odein became one of the team’s most active hosts, moderating 100+ virtual and in-person workshops between classes with some of the world’s biggest companies, including AT&T, JPMorgan Chase,  EY, Colgate, Verizon, Paramount, Kellogg’s, Kellanova, Blackstone, Informa, and more. He played a key role in international expansion as the first Global Speaker to lead in-person sessions at schools in the UK and also supported research that advanced Dream Opportunity’s growth in India and the Philippines.

Leadership & Student Impact

Driven to make a deeper impact, Odein transitioned into the community engagement department and was soon promoted to Community Engagement Manager. In this role, he co-created the Future Leaders Program with Joshua Pierce, a six-month after-school leadership program that mentored about 30 students across the United States, the UK, and Canada. Program alumni have earned apprenticeships, won scholarships worth thousands of dollars, stepped into leadership roles in their schools and communities, and even launched careers at companies like Rolls-Royce.

Today, Odein continues to host events, develop new programs for thousands of volunteers and students, and support the CEO on high-level initiatives as Dream Opportunity scales globally.
